Ready to Roll

Broadcast journalists find your story. Professional presenters tell it.

Most video companies ask what you'd like filmed. We send trained broadcast journalists into your business to work out what's actually worth shouting about — then put an experienced presenter in front of it. Your only job is reading the scripts.

A camera crew films what you tell them. A journalist tells you what to film.

That difference is the whole product. Everything else is execution.

The usual brief

"What do you want filmed?"

The hardest question in marketing, handed straight back to the person who hired you to answer it.

  • You end up writing the content plan yourself
  • The same three safe topics come round again
  • The genuinely interesting things never get mentioned
  • You're the editor, the scriptwriter and the client
What we do instead

"Here's what you should be shouting about."

Our journalists interrogate the business the way they'd work a story, then come back with the angles.

  • Trained broadcast journalists, not order-takers
  • They find the story you're too close to see
  • Every script written and handed to you to review
  • You approve. We do the rest.
Step one

They dig

Interviews with the people who actually know things — founders, engineers, clinicians, the person who has been there nineteen years. The same process a journalist uses to work out where the story is.

Step two

They find the angle

News sense applied to your business: what's genuinely surprising, what your customers keep asking, what your competitors are too cautious to say out loud.

Step three

They write it

Scripted for broadcast delivery, not for a brochure. Written to be said out loud by a human being and to hold attention in the first two seconds.

Step four

You read it

The finished scripts land in your inbox. You read them and flag anything you'd want said differently — we make the changes. That is the entirety of your involvement until the filming day.

The hard part was never the filming.

It's the Sunday night scroll, wondering what on earth to post on Monday.

What usually happens

Content by panic

Someone in the team gets handed "social" on top of their actual job. It goes well for three weeks.

  • Ideas dry up by the second month
  • Filming happens when someone remembers
  • Nobody wants to be the one on camera
  • The good stuff — the expertise — never gets said out loud
What Ready to Roll does

Content by system

We plan it, script it, shoot it and edit it. You block out one day and turn up.

  • A month or more of content from a single day
  • Professional presenters, if you'd rather not front it
  • On-camera coaching if you would
  • A plan telling you exactly what to post and when

What you actually get.

A newsroom, a presenter and a crew — and a folder of finished films at the end of it.

Broadcast journalists on the story

Trained journalists interrogate the business and work out what genuinely deserves airtime.

Research & scripting

Our journalists write every script. You read them — you never write them.

Professional presenters

Experienced broadcasters who can be the face of your content, if you need them.

On-camera coaching

If your team fronts it, we direct and coach them all day so they look and sound natural.

Creative strategy & angles

The content plan built from what we found, not from a template.

Full filming & editing

Crew, kit, sound, lighting and the edit. All in-house, no subcontracting.

15–20 finished videos

A day's filming turns the story bank into a month or more of ready-to-post content.

A posting plan

What to publish and when, so the folder doesn't just sit there.

Captions & formats

Sized and subtitled for the platforms you actually use.

We can be the face of your content. Or we can help you become it.

Two ways to run the day. Both end with the same folder of finished videos.

Option one

We front it

Our experienced broadcast presenters become the face of the campaign. You don't need to appear at all.

  • We match the presenter to your brand and audience
  • Nobody internally has to be comfortable on camera
  • Polished, television-standard delivery from the first take
  • Ideal if your team is time-poor or camera-shy
Option two

You front it

Your people are the expertise. We direct and coach them through the day so they look and sound confident.

  • Full direction and coaching between every take
  • Scripts written to sound like them, not like an autocue
  • Builds genuine authority and a recognisable face
  • Ideal for founders, clinicians, specialists and technical teams

How the day actually runs.

Most of the work happens before anyone turns a camera on. That's the point.

Two weeks before

Strategy call

We work out who you're talking to, what you're known for, and the angles worth building content around. You talk, we take notes.

One week before

Topics & scripts

We research and write every video, then send them over for a read. Nothing gets filmed that you haven't seen and approved.

The morning

Set up and settle in

Crew arrives, kit goes up, and we spend the first stretch getting whoever's on camera comfortable. The first take is never the one we keep.

Through the day

Film the bank

We work through the scripts in blocks, with coaching and direction between takes. Wardrobe and backdrop changes keep it looking varied rather than fifteen clips of the same shot.

The following days

Edit and caption

Cut, graded, subtitled and sized for each platform. Edited in-house by the same team that filmed it.

Delivery

Folder plus a plan

Every finished video, plus a schedule telling you what to post and when — so it goes out steadily instead of all at once.

Why this isn't just a film crew with a nicer camera.

There are three ways businesses usually try to get presenter-led content made. Here's honestly how they stack up.

Typical output figures reflect published UK market norms for a half to full day social shoot. Broadcast PR agencies do outstanding work — but their product is coverage on someone else's channel, not a library of content sitting on yours.

What it looks like in the wild.

Real campaigns, real numbers. Different industries, same one-day format.

Client case study Signature Mall

A shopping destination that went from quiet to unmissable

900k+views in 3 days
16,000new followers
£0ad spend
20videos, one day

We partnered with Signature Mall to create a series of twenty presenter-led videos designed to showcase the destination in an engaging, authentic way. Everything was filmed in a single production day and built for social — to drive awareness, lift engagement and pull in new visitors.

The results went well past what anyone had forecast: more than 900,000 views inside three days and 16,000 new followers in a fortnight, with nothing behind it but the content itself. No boosting, no paid promotion. It's the clearest proof we have that personality-led content out-performs polish alone.

Client case study Severn Trent

Turning deep utility expertise into content people watch

Severn Trent had genuine expertise sitting inside the organisation and no practical way to get it out. We handled the whole creative process — strategy, topic development, scripting, filming and editing — and produced a bank of ready-to-publish videos covering customer education, water conservation, innovation and the people behind the work.

One filming day gave the team weeks of professionally produced content, without adding a single job to anyone's workload.

Client case study Skratch Golf

A sports brand with no presenter — so we supplied one

We partnered with Skratch Golf to build a bank of engaging, presenter-led social content, with our own presenters becoming the face of the campaign. We ran the whole thing end to end: developing the creative concepts, writing the scripts, presenting, filming and editing.

The result was a suite of polished, personality-led videos made specifically for social — professional on-screen content without the brand needing to provide a presenter or manage a production internally.

Client case study Fultons, Ireland

Luxury interiors, told through the right voice

Fultons wanted content that reflected the elegance and heritage of its collections. We matched the brief with a presenter whose Spanish accent complemented the Italian and Spanish brands running through the showroom.

The films highlighted craftsmanship, design and lifestyle — moving past the usual product walkthrough to tell the stories behind the pieces. Casting the right voice and scripting to the brand's premium positioning brought the showroom to life and reinforced its reputation as a destination for luxury European interiors.

Client case study Active Clinic

Complex health advice, made watchable

We worked with Active Clinic to produce a series of presenter-led videos that turned complicated health and wellbeing topics into clear, engaging social content. The scripting focused on answering the questions patients were already asking — building trust while showing off the expertise of the clinical team.

Clear messaging plus an approachable delivery gave the clinic a library of content that positions it as an authoritative voice, and a steady supply of high-quality video for every marketing channel.

What clients say afterwards.

Usually some version of "why didn't we do this sooner".

★★★★★

We genuinely wouldn't go anywhere else. The quality of the content is outstanding, the process is effortless, and the value for money is incredible. It feels like having our own in-house production team.

★★★★★

It's one of the best marketing investments we've made. In a single day we had enough content for months, and every video looked like it belonged on television. The return on investment has been exceptional.

★★★★★

The professionalism was on another level. From the planning and scripting through to filming and editing, every detail was handled perfectly. The finished videos exceeded every expectation.

★★★★★

We weren't sure what to expect, but the difference in quality was obvious straight away. The videos feel authentic rather than salesy, and we've had so many people comment on how professional they look.

And what our own clients say.

Straight from the inbox — real messages from businesses we film for across Birmingham and the Midlands.

Straight answers.

What makes a journalist better than a marketer for this?

A marketer starts from what you want to say. A journalist starts from what an audience would actually stop to watch. That's a different question, and it produces very different content. Ours are trained broadcast journalists who've spent careers deciding what's worth leading with.

How much of my time does this take?

An initial conversation, reading the scripts, and the filming day itself. That's the lot. You don't write, storyboard, plan or brief.

What if we don't think we have a story?

Everyone says that. It's usually because you're too close to it — the thing you find routine is the thing your customers find interesting. Finding it is the job.

What if nobody on our team wants to be on camera?

Then you don't need to be. Our presenters front the whole thing and your team never appears. Plenty of our best-performing work is made this way.

How many videos do we actually end up with?

Typically 15–20 finished videos from one filming day. The exact number depends on how much wardrobe and location changing we do, and how long each script runs.

Do we have to write any of it?

Not a word. Our journalists research and write every script, then send them over for you to read. Your input is approving them or telling us what to change — never drafting them.

Where does filming happen?

Usually your premises — showroom, office, site or clinic — because it looks like you. If your space isn't right for it, we'll sort a location.

How long until we get the videos back?

Editing normally takes a week to ten days depending on volume. If something is time-sensitive, tell us and we'll prioritise it.

Is this a one-off or ongoing?

It works as either. Many clients start with a single day, see how the content performs, then move onto an ongoing rhythm through Flow, our monthly content retainer.

Do you handle the posting as well?

We give you a plan showing what to post and when. If you'd like us to run the posting too, that's part of what Flow covers.

Every business has a story it's too close to see.

Give us an hour and we'll come back with the angles we'd film. No charge, no obligation.
